Might be the wrong section but anyway...

Thinking of dumping another 3870 in with the one I already have but I only have a an MSI Neo2 FR board to do it on. Obviously the 2nd slot is only 4x.

Is it really worth doing?

Well I had crossfire 3870s.

Have a look at the 3dmark thread.

That's my score with the p35 chipset.

Also I'm on the Crysis 1024 list with crossfire.

I personally didn't think it was worth it. The performance difference wasn't that..

I eventually sold the card and I'm now on a single 3870.

I think if i had the 3870x2 and thought about an extra little oomph by going with another 3870 I might consider it - but with the 4x interface I think you're better off selling the 3870 and going for a 3870x2 if you want 'proper' crossfire performance as it would then be running on a 16x interface .

That's unless you have quite a bit of money and go a 3870x2 and also a 3870 ..mm.. Then you have in theory 'maximised ' (single-card) crossfire performance and then a bit more of a boost to add to it.
