its worth:

-book price for trade in according to how old the dealers glasses is etc
-however much someone wants to pay privately for it...

how much are they going for on trader? i dont mean how much are they advertised for, as a lot of them prolly dont sell due to silly prices..

No idea on what it's worth, but with the exception of the gash sticker, it looks quite tidy.

How old is it? When was the last service / oil change?

It'd be a good idea to put it through an MOT before selling it as well. The extra piece of mind to a perspective buyer would be well worth the £40 or whatever it is.

I don't understand why you're selling it because you can't afford to run it, yet you've just bought a new exhaust for it?

If I was cynical, I'd smell a rat and be thinking that it's got problems and you want out.

Yeah I got a loan to pay bills and stuff off and thought id get the windows tinted and buy a magnex for it but realising its just costing too much to run, i absolutly cherish the thing if i could keep it i would, ive spent lots on it and just got full service a month back, and the insure is up in june and with having 6 points its going to be over £2k to insure and i just cant afford it especially with just moving into a flat too, its got no problems at all ive done about 20k miles in it since i bought the thing and the engine has been bang on, just had it on the rollers too and everything is fine with it running like it should, also got 5bhp over standard too

Are you talking private sale price? If so then the GTi-6 forums are being a bit optimistic if they think the mods add £1k to the car. Its so hard to judge with modified cars, the mods don't really add a great deal of value unless you can find someone who wants a car modded to that spec who might be prepaired to pay a bit of a premium for having had all the work already done.

Just seen the extra pics, and it looks very clean and tastefully modded. Lose the sticker, give it an MOT, and find a colourblind buyer (;)), and you shouldn't have too much trouble shifting it.

If you're prepared to wait for the right price, then you may find some success advertising on OC's etc, but I wouldn't put it on the trader unless you're prepared to take less cash for a quicker sale.

Im in the market now for a standard one. Blaze is a colour that a majority of people dont like im afraid :/ I am looking at a smashing diablo red (r plate) with fsh tonight, for £2400. Your be lucky to get 2700 for it, especially as its modified as well.

Edit - How high is that handbrake! lol

oh, i wouldnt use that top pic to sell it either. would automatically make me think the driver is a [insert hand signal] and has treated the car like **** tbh :]

surely i wouldnt get 2k trade in for that! i paid 4k for it a year ago it cant of lost that much value!

yeah i am talking private

Unfortunately, it's a buyers market at the minute. A friend paid £4500 for a mint S14a Nissan 200SX just after Xmas time. A few months later, he'd struggle to get £3500 for it in a private sale.

If you did trade it in, I'd be surprised if a dealer offered you as much as £2k for it to be honest!

As said above, mods is a tricky issue when it comes to selling cars. With outright performance cars - 200sxs, scoobys etc - they can add value, but the GTi-6 is really just a hot 306, so you may find that mods will decrease it's value a little. Luckily, yours looks pretty standard, so non car-modders won't be put off too much.

Why are you asking the question after you have put it on the gti-6 forum for £2800? You using ocuk as a sales pitch? lol
