I'm seriously considering selling my desktop and going to something more portable, probably a laptop/macbook (if I can get enough for the desktop). I just dont game any more. The only problem I can see with a laptop is my 3D work (3d studio max), not sure if it'll be too much for a laptop to handle well?

Anyway my desktop is as follows:

Antec Ultimate Gamer case
Abit IP35 Pro m/b
Intel Q6600 2.4ghz processor
4gb OCZ ram
Leadtek 8800GT 512mb gfx card
Seagate Barracuda 250gb hdd
LiteON dvd+rw drive
OCZ SteathXStream 600w (I think) psu
Netgear WG311T wireless pci card

I think in total it came to about £650-700 last year so would £500 be reasonable, seeing as its not really had much strenuous use and is in great condition?

Cheers

As above you need to use the MM for price checks.

There is criteria to meet to be allowed access, think its 250posts and a member for over 3month.

he cant post in the MM :p it depends where you sell it, if you used "a popular online auction site that we are not allowed to name" then you'd never be sure could be a lot lower (most probably) but you could get lucky, alternatively wait until you can use the members market, it may be worth less by then but your more likel;y to find someone who wants all or a part of it, you could also try putting an ad up in your local supermarket of post office, they often have a little board to put little notices up to sell stuff

That's my point, he obviously doesn't know it exists if he's posting in GD :p

Well I'm not necessarily trying to sell it on here, just wanting to get an estimate value..

As others have said, the selling / buying or price checks of items must be kept in the Members Market section.

Though, you must meet the following requirements to have access to the Members Market:

FAQ said:
Members Market?

The members market is provided as a free service to active and contributing forum members. OcUK are not liable for any deals that are done in the Members Market, you are free to buy and sell at your own risk. Please read the rules of the Members Market before you proceed to make your first sale.

Access to the Members Market forum requires two things. Firstly, you will need to have over 250 posts and have been signed up for at least 90 days. Please note that this does not mean you spam the forums simply to increase your posts, as this action will result in posts being deducted, and if you continue this behaviour, your account will eventually be banned/suspended. Once you reach 250 posts, you will need to activate your trust. This is either found in your UserCP, or you can press the trust button that appears at the bottom of all your posts.

Once you satisfy both of these criteria, Members Market access will be granted within 24hrs. Please do not post on the forums asking why you cannot access the members market, if you have any queries, email one of the forum Dons/Admins. The contact addresses are available in the FAQ.
