How much is TOO much?

Maybe right. I think it was gord who made the point 
I'll buy a 360 and/or a PS3 when they are around a hundred squid new... like I did with the Xbox/PS2. Even if I have to wait three years. Yes I can afford to pay the prices now but being able to afford to and being willing to are two different things 
Unless there are some absolutely amazing games available that I must have... but I doubt it.

Xbox 360
Console Premium: £200
Games: £35
Playstation 3
Console with HDD: £200

Wii

I won't be buying the 360 or PS3 until they come down to £200 or below, mainly because i will have a PC to play the games i want (other than a few exclusives). To be honest i would definately get a 360 over a PS3 based on what i have seen of the PS3. Partly i am anti-sony when it comes to consoles but mainly because it doesn't look like it is gonna offer anything over and above what the 360 does.
As for the Wii, why would some people not be willing to pay the same amount for a Wii game as for a 360/PS3 game? If it is a killer exclusive title, i would be willing to pay the same amount regardless of what platform/what the development costs were. OK the 360/PS3 games will cost more to develop and most will have better graphics but that doesn't make them better games and this doesn't make them worth more money.
Cross-platform (ports with few changes other than graphics) games are slightly different. For say PES6/7 whatever, i would be willing to spend £35 on the 360 game but would expect the Wii to be cheaper because the 360 would be the better version.
