Helping out a friend's mother who "doesn't want to have to wait 10 minutes for the computer to boot up".
I suggested a memory upgrade, as she has 512mb on a Vista system!

The factsheet for the motherboard says:

"
Dual channel memory architecture Two 240-pin DDR2 DIMM socketsSupported DIMM types:
PC2-3200 (400 MHz)PC2-4200 (533 MHz) PC2-5300 (667 MHz, runs at 533 MHz)Non-ECC memory only, unbufferedSupports 1 GB DDR2 DIMMsMaximum HP/Compaq approved memory is 2 GB"

Does this mean that I can ONLY have 1gb of Non-ECC memory?

I'm suggesting that he should buy "Kingston 1GB DDR2 533MHz/PC2-4200 Non-ECC CL4 1.8V Unbuffered Dimm 240 pin". Will the mobo handle 2, or just stick to the 1 gig?

Cheers
