Well lets see... I just bought my Xbox360 about 6 weeks ago for the sole reason of getting Pro Evo 6 when it came out. Here's my expenditure so far:
Xbox360 Premium + Table Tennis + PGR3 + extra pad - £270
Xbox Live 12 month sub - £31.50
Xbox Live Points - £17
Play and Charge Kit - £13.50
Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter - £25
Fifa World Cup 2006 - £10
Fight Night Round 3 - £30
Tomb Raider Legend - £18
Perfect Dark Zero - £18
Dead Rising - £36
Burnout Revenge - £25
Splinter Cell: Double Agent - £27
Pro Evo 6 - £31.50
Call Of Duty 3 - £34
Gears Of War - £31.50
Marvel Ultimate Alliance - £30
In total that comes to just shy of £650!
On top of that, a few days after buying the 360 I realised how much better it would look with a HDTV so I splashed out £580 on a 32" screen!
So is it worth it? Well, it's all relative really. If I compare the £650 I've spent on the 360 and games etc to what I've spent on my PC (and all I really use it for is uni work and internet access!) then absolutely. I also feel it has been worth it as it has got me back into playing games again.
The only reason I've bought 14 games in the short time I've had the console is due to the price of each individual game - if I had to purchase it all in a oner then there is no way I would be able to justify it. As it is, it's easy for me to justify £30 for a game - I could easily spend twice that on an average night out and not remember a thing about it the next day!
