Tried googling but couldn't find an answer.

I'm currently in a temp role and I'm in my 2nd week. Role finishes in 3 week's time.

How much notice do I have to give if I found a better/perm job elsewhere?

web tells me that I have to give 2 weeks notice if i have worked there for a month.

thanks in advance!

Pretty much nothing I would imagine as you're only in your second week, and only have 3 to go. I'd probably offer a week mind you, if I liked the place.

I take it you have not worked a week in hand with such a short temp job?

If so and you can start your new job straight away id just finish the week and say bye...nothing they can do,just tell them you got another job and have to start straight away.

I got advised by a temp agency "do whatever you want when you want with a days notice because you look out for yourself and no one else.

Dont feel you have to be loyal in the slightest.

Indeed. I wouldn't even bother using a temp job I'd only worked 3 weeks of as a reference. Just give a days notice and forget about it. There's a reason agency work is a thing, they are used to people doing so.

This. Can guarantee if they decided they didn't need you any more, the most you'd get would be a phone call the night before.

They can get rid of you that day if they want, so you can do the same. At the end of the day you've just gotta think of yourself, they wouldn't think twice about letting you go with no notice if they didn't need/want you anymore. Out of courtesy you could say you'll leave on Friday if it was this week for example but you don't even need to do that.

you're a temp not an employee, if you want to quit then just quit... you'll maybe work the rest of your shift but you won't need to be back there tomorrow
