So i just ordered a GTX 970 4gb, which is replacing a Radeon HD7850. I am planning on upgrading the rest of my pc in the upcoming months. But as for now im just upgrading the GPU. At the moment i have an i5-3570s CPU, Will just changing the GPU to a 970 make a big difference?

No, the 3570s only came out 2 years before the 970. Plenty of people bought the 970 for much older CPUs than yours.

That should be a good upgrade, I hope you got the 970 for very cheap tho, many good brand new cards around as budget alternatives
