Hi guys.

So I'm gonna buy a Sapphire 2900 pro 1024MB and I need to know what PSU unit to buy (for definate)...

System spec is Intel Dual Core 2.1ghz, 2MB Ram, and the usual power drains as a DVD drive, harddrive etc. I did post a while back but no-one knew the 2900 pro power drains for sure... will this PSU be enough?

Thanks,

Dave

That PSU only comes with 1 x PCI-E 6pin connector so you'd need to make the other up with a molex to PCI-E converter, Also 450W is a little stingy as the card can take > 220w on it's own.

The Corsair HX 520 as a minimum or the 620 if you can afford

Well it is, but the 512MB was reviewed up against a 1GB card, there was around a 5% difference. I wouldn't pay upwards of £50 for a 5% difference, I'd go for the 2900 512MB and get the 520W PSU.
