Hi,

I'm looking to get the APC Back-UPS BX700UI 390 watt just to run my HP Microserver.

Does anyone know how much power these things take idle, fully charged?

Thanks

Didn't see they had an efficiency graph on there.

It says 88.3% efficiency at 25% load. So that means ~45w power draw while it's 25% loaded, right?

Honestly, unless you go for the high capacity type ups you'll hardly even notice the ups draw over the other things you leave on in the house. According to our smart meter we use about 0.1kw/h for the phone, router, ups, 8 port gigabit switch, wifi adapter, fridge, freezer and fire alarm when they're on 'idle'. Hell it's only about 0.2kw/h when my pc is on and 'browsing the web'.
