How much power for D10 cards?

I read that the new D10 cards need 500-600 watts power.

Now I looking to buy a D10 card in about 8-10 months times, where the price drops and there is a better range out. But will the power needs still be the same?

Im hoping to build a new PC over the coming weeks and want to give myself a power unit that will be fine when I get my D10 card. I will only get a single card (not rich enough to buy SLI or such). S

So what kind of wattage, and indeed power suppy should I be looking at. (also taking into account that I'll be doing a bit of overclocking, but not to extream levels)

Thank You.

I'd look at a very solid top of the range 500W or a mid to top 600W.

Have a look at the Corsair HX 520W, made by Seasonic and good for 40A at 12v

Seconded, this is the PSU im buying (Corsair HX520) to future proof myself for a dx10 card upgrade some time in the next year.

qtec 650w triple fan should do the trick and for under 25 quid too. :D

Everyone knocks them. But my old 450 Qtec has been sweet as a nut. No problems with 2 HD's, 2 Writers, xp2600+ and 6600GT and a bunch of USB's

Just make sure you have renewed your building and contents insurance and NEVER leave it unattended.

A word to the wise. Cheap PSU's when they fail can take out your kit. Seen it happen. Anyone who even contemplates matching high end equipment with a cheap PSU should be committed to the funny farm.
