Firefox isn't using 46% of your RAM. Its using 275MB out of 4GB - its a tiny amount of your total RAM!

Around 55MB with this thread open.

Chrome is using about 250MB, haven't closed it in ages, it seems to have a few processes it hasn't killed from past tabs.

I have 2gb and FF regularly hits 850mb+

Usually requires a task manager force close every few hours. I tend to work with a lot of tabs and it slows my laptop down over time.

Maybe I have a dodgy plug in.

The beta seems stable on one of my machines but the 3.6.13 build on my other machine quite often leaks memory somewhere, I've seen the RAM usage go up to over 1GB with just google open after having watched a video on youtube (so either firefox or flash is causing something to go wrong on one machine)

45mb with just this page open. Thats with the latest official version, 3.6.13

I guess it depends on the amount of tabs open, addons you have, etc.

82 meg 2 tabs - after watching youtube or streaming a service like iplayer it gets ludicrous.

If i play gta4 with firefox open i lose 50% of my frame rate...

It really is a piggy sometimes.

136MB on FF3.6 (4 tabs) on my work desktop (Win7 x64 SP1), 124MB on Win7 x64 SP1 on my home PC with 4 tabs open.

Fairly standard game TBH, the Op's too.
