At the moment I'm using a Fujitsu laptop just for uni work, although some of it is pretty big stats calculating kinda stuff. My laptop has a 1.6 dual core cpu, and a rubbish 512 of ram, some of which is lost for the gfx.
The RAM is a lot cheaper than I thought it would be, so while considering 1GB, im also looking at 2GB aswell now. The laptop will work either, so its just a case of will a laptop make use of a full 2GB, with the other components. Its used on mains a lot of the time so battery life isnt too much an issue.
