How much should I charge for Access 2010 work

Hi Guys,

I've been asked by one of our departments to recreate 7 Access 2003 databases in Access 2010. They have agreed to pay me for my time as i'll have to complete it out of work hours (when i'm not on a night shift

) however I have no idea how much to charge? The databases are fairly simple as they have all been written by one of our pilots who is self taught.

If you could charge an hourly rate, what would it be? I was initially thinking twice my hourly rate for my day job?

Hourly or for the job?

If your confident you know how long it will take you job may be better as if you can finish quicker you will be up on £.

Also might be worth specc'ing out any improvements they want. Could make the project bigger/longer if thats what you want. (i.e. "its always bugged me that i cant.....").

I love it, myself.

£30/hr. would be a negotiable start rate, similar to any other development rates. It also depends on how much time they want you to design forms, queries, and reports. Just setting up basic tables can be done in 10 minutes.
