How much storage does your PC have?

Just curious what people find sufficient really.

RTX 4090 PC: 0.5 TB + 4 TB of M.2 drives. Backed up to Microserver, separate backups to USB HDD too.
A770 PC: 2 TB SSD. Backed up to Microserver.
Microserver: 512 GB SSD + 4x 6TB HDD in RAID 1 (so 12 TB data storage). This gets backed up to an external USB drive. Will probably become a VM on TrueNAS box as HDDs are old.
TrueNAS: 250 GB boot drive + 1 TB cache + 512 GB SLOG + 60 TB data (5x 20 TB RAID Z2). New, so no backup yet.

250gig Samsung 960 NVMe (boot, Windows and core progs only)
1x120gig Samsung SSD Steam stuff
2x250gig Samsung 850 Evo SSDs Steam..
1x480gig Can't Remember SSD Nothing as yet.
1x1TB WD Blue HDD Media, random stuff

Way more storage than I actually need!

Code:
Main PC
1.0 TB - NVMe for OS
0.5 TB - SSD for random stuff
5.0 TB - USB External HDD for large stuff and archiving

Server
0.25 TB - SSD for OS
18.00 TB - HDD for CCTV

Not a lot compared to some here!

1x 1TB Gen 3 Samsung NMVE.
1x 480GB SATA 3 SSD. Can’t even remember the brand tbh. Kingston maybe.
1x 2TB Mechanical drive for media and a few rarely played games. I only have 80mbps internet so do like to keep some rarely played games installed.

1x 500GB 980 Pro M.2
2x 500GB 850 SATA

Really frustrating having 3 different 500gb drives when you end up having ~60gb free which isn't enough for most AAA games.. Considering converging two SATA's into a 1/2tb m.2

Do people not find with gigabit speeds they don't need all this storage anymore?
(I'm assuming you're not on about gigabit lan here) You actually have to have access to gigabit internet....

Where I live we've just had a 'local independent' install gigabit fibre and while it's fairly priced it doesn't say how much you can use, just the 'fair use' comments which I hate. I haven't switched purely because while it might be faster I might actually be unable to upload/download as much as I currently do etc.... not to mention I've found plenty of situations where I can't even max out my 80/20 line due to the other end.

same, im on 70mbps through Vodafone. Soon as I can get more speed I will. Just now this is the best I can atm.

Ah yeah I meant fiber, fair enough, if you don't have access it does justify the storage

Just curious what people find sufficient really. I like having a large game collection on hand and also use my PC to store film and TV rips of my discs. Hence I just can't get enough.

I don't want any mechanical hard drives as I love the speed and silence.

Currently have;
2x 2tb Gen 4 NVMe
2x 2tb Gen 3 NVMe
2x 4tb Sata SSD
1x 2tb Sata SSD
1x 128gb USB

I'll be getting one more 4tb Sata before the end of next year... then I'm done lol.
512gb M2 SSD
1TB sata SSD
8TB reasonably fast mechanical hdd
1.5TB slow hdd for backups
2TB external usb drive but always plugged in ready to switch on with my emulation setup.

1 PC has this.

1 x 256GB NVME
1 x 4TB SSD
1 x 1TB SSD
1 x 8TB WD HD
1 x External 8TB HD
1 x 6TB HD
1 x 2TB HD (I forgot about him.. should turn him into an NVME)

I got 4 more PCs cant remember what they have.

4x Gen 4 1TB NVME (1x running at Gen 3 speed)

1x 256GB SATA m.2

1x External USB3 1TB NVME

Still have space for 2 more SATA drives so might add more in the future if I see a good deal.
