Okay iam now toying with the idea of Tri-SLI

For starters i have a XSPC Dual 750 Bay Reservoir & Pump

And iam thinking off running this loop with it

RES/PUMP> 120.2> I7 920> 120.1> MOBO> 120.4> 3x470 (parallel)

i was thinking this might be a bit much for one pump but would like to keep it as one loop can this pump or any pump do it ?

A D5 would be ok but not sure about the pump u have, 5 blocks can be pretty restrictive then add in 3 rads.

I've got the same pump as you going through CPU, GPU a 120 and 360 and wouldn't push it any further to be honest. It's a good pump for the price but I seriously doubt you'd get the pressure needed to move the water enough with all that and it may well kill the pump.

I've done quaq-sli, cpu, full mobo block and 3 radiators with a dual DDC bayres. Works well, I've also got a system with the pump/bayres you mention in the op and no it won't :)

well atm its running

120.4> cpu> 2xgpu's> mobo and back and seems to be doing okay (touch wood)check my build log

but yer iam now considering 2 loops with 2x DDC pumps how does this sound ??

loop 1 RES>DDC>PA 120.4>3x 470's

loop 2 RES>DDC>120.2>cpu>120.1>mobo

how do you think that would fair ?

thats if my desk can hold the weight lol its over 5 and half stone now (36kg)

the 750 is a good budget solution but for serious loops with multiple blocks and a lot of impingement, you will need a lot of head pressure on the pump.

my loop consists of a parallel flow SLI config and a high restriction cpu block and two large radiators on a single D5 pump.

the d5 cannot push the parallel flow properly at any setting below half way. if the loop was series and not parallel then i would say that a d5 could do just about any conventional single loop.
depends how you want to set it up really.

i would personally look at a D5 if you are thinking of tri sli.

sourced a 18W DDC which i hope would be enough for all the preposed which as far as i've read has the highest pressure of any pump so fingers crossed :D

I use a single D5 on my loop. It's got a CPU, GPU, full MB, plus 10+m of tubing and about 50 elbows in it, previously used a DDC 18W as well and either cope fine with it.
