I get days in lieu for working weekends.

I had to do a power down this past weekend and want to know what days of in lieu you think it is reasonable.

I worked from 6:30pm to 9:00 pm on friday night and then i came in on sunday from 11-3pm and then i came in early monday morning at 7:20 meant to start at 8am. How much would you ask for?

If Friday night counts as weekend, 6 and a half hours. I'm sure Monday morning isn't weekend. Exactly how flexi is your time? If you come in 40 minutes early are you actually expected to claim it back?

I don't think I would be claiming time in lieu at time-and-a-half, unless I had an awesome contract! Incidentally, my overtime rate is time-and-a-quarter, regardless of which day of the week / bank holiday / whatever.

Originally the plan was to come in on saturday and get two days off during the week for it, but i thought it would be easier and save a commute if i stay on friday night and power down the servers. But now i have kind of lost a day in lieu over it. Plus i had to wake up extra early to make it monday morning. Well the previous site was very strict over lateness, i don't know if you remember that thread, but if i was at that site i would take the 40 mins early. But i would be happy with just going home 30 mins early today and having a day off i think, sounds reasonable.

if you are in support then many dont get anything. you arent paid by the hour you are paid monthly. thats how they used to do it where i worked before. coming in on weekends for stuff is kind of expected sometimes.

glad i worked in development, we had none of that **** in our contracts ;)
