How much to get an aux plug fitted in a Focus?

I'm going to be buying a second hand Focus in the next month or so. I've currently got a tape deck in my Fiesta, so I'm used to using a tape adapter with my iPod. However, I'm sure all recent Focuses have cd players, which leaves me a bit stuck, and I've heard mixed reviews of the fm adapters that people sometimes use.

Do any of the standard Focus models come with an aux socket as standard? If not, how much will it cost to get one fitted? Would there be any chance of my asking the garage to fit one cheap as part of the sale? I'll be paying cash, so that could give some leverage?

Cheers.

They are brilliant and dead easy to fit.

I did try and explain to someone how I fitted it in a mondeo, but I didn't take any pics as I did it, but this link might still be helpful - its probably pretty similar on focus.

;)

I have a decent FM transmitter which works perfectly, charges my ipod/iphone on the move aswell.

The 3.5mm kit you can get from here: http://www.fordpartsuk.com/shop/focus_mk2_audio_adaptor_kit_1554.htm

or any Ford dealer.

These are rubbish when you go to an area with lots of radio stations and interference like London, just didn't work for me.

My old 06 focus had the AUX in the glovebox too, If you're getting a Focus just make sure you buy one with the Sony headunit as you obviously care about your music a bit. It's not like it'll be something you'll have to wait months to find a focus with either

lol @ bob!
You really think the Sony stereo in a focus is much better than the ford badged one? Hardly a Bose system or B&O system is it. :)

It was really good  gave a lovely natural sound, IE everything was in proportion with nice defined bass etc.

It frustrates me people seem to confuse 'quality' with 'volume' when it comes to car audio :( - before anyone starts i have done quite a bit of music recording/production so the whole car audio 'scene' confuses me somewhat

Ninja Edit: I've yet to hear a BOSE stereo i didn't feel sounded rubish, just sounded like someone had a massive EQ and was bored

I'll ask people at work but I'm almost certain it is the standard unit with a different fascia.
