Long story short, we've moved back into our old flat which the landlords have refurbished. We're really happy, but it turns out they neglected to put a TV aerial socket in the lounge!

They clearly thought because they use Virgin, then everyone else will  They have the Virgin sockets and a normal telephone socket.

The stupid thing is we know there is an aerial on the roof and there was a TV socket in the lounge because we used to live there! Not only that but they have put in aerial sockets in the bedrooms upstairs. I honestly don't know what they were thinking...

So, quick question.. With all that in mind how much could it cost to get someone in to fit an aerial socket? Having only ever rented I have literally no ballpark to go off. I don't mind going with Virgin as such but I'm loathed to do it because of the landlord's incompetence. :(

Is it an easy job? Would they wreck the walls?

Thanks.

Have you taken the sockets off the wall to see what's behind? Cost a few quid to change them yourself.

When I wired my house a few years ago I chased coax into the walls in every room and ran the cables into the loft where I had a booster box. The actual Aerial sockets cost around 1.50 each and very easy to fit.
