How much to renew a passport?

gutted

Seems like a lot of money to me, and I havent lost it, just need to renew it for another 10 year one.
Maybe there is a lot of work involved in checking me out etc.

post office is the best bet, takes 10 days or so

Go to the postoffice and get the "pack" from the forms section.

I got my renewal at Christmas, £51 for passport and anothe £8 or so for them to check it

I guess I can justify it as I do use it quite a lot though.

Had mine done a couple of weeks ago, if you get the postoffice to check it they also post it off and it should come back quicker (2 weeks rather than 3), mine actually came back within a week.

You don't have to but they just make sure that everything is in order rather than you wait for 3 weeks and get a letter back saying you put a dot in the wrong place.

I needed mine back asap as I went skiing last week and didn't wanna miss that!

That reminds me, I need to get mine renewed. I travel a lot for work so I'll be kind and let the company pay the renewal fee.

i was sort of lucky. paid £42 just before july 05. still steep though! when you add the cost of new photos
