How much to ship?

How much would it cost to ship a bike from one end of the country to the other?

Any recommended reliable companies.

Google 'motorcycle delivery transportation' and get a few estimates.

Not being funny but most couriers will wait til they have orders for a full van before delivery, or the trip back, to offset their costs and your estimate will reflect that.

Cost me £200 from London to Fife a few years ago. So budget for a hit !

Sounds similar to what I got. Found an instant estimator on a site, came in at £180 from Wales to Ayrshire. Not too bad considering I suppose.

Why are you planning on getting a bike transported, if you don't mind me asking?

Put up your advert on Shipley and you'll get some good prices within a few days. I've been quoted as low at £60 to get a bike from Edinburgh to Bristol before (but I'd expect somewhere closer to £130 normally)

Sure, I've seen a nice one at a good price in Wales that ticks all my boxes.

If you give it a few days for quotes then they tend to get cheaper. Basically it's van drivers who are already doing certain journeys with space in their van, a bit of extra cash in their hand is better than a half empty van.
