How much would a website like this cost?

I am looking to have my website completely refurbished, and I am wondering what a 'reasonable' price would be for me to pay, for something decent.

My current website has 8 pages, the first page is a Blog style, it has a film page which has my own flash player (not using YouTube and the like...), also a player to play sound clips, a gallery which has a Javascript so you can view the pictures quite nicely, and a contact page... These are the main parts of my website.

I want to keep the current theme, but I want to pay for:

- Changing the website to a good CMS, so it is easier to manage, and also to have good features.
- I would like the style of the website to be more modern, however, I want to keep the same colours if possible.
- I would like more up to date programming, or scripting to make the website better (how? I am not sure... But I am sure it can be improved a lot)
- I would also like the website to support larger resolutions, as obviously it is very small and contained at the moment.
- I would like to have some sort of way of seeing the statistics of my website more accurately.

I hope people can help here, about how much I should pay, or who I should contact, and if you have any ideas for my website which should be changed, or updated, please let me know!
 
have you ever considered using a CMS yourself,

i.e skinning a theme for wordpress, there's loads of tutorials,

Could be a great little project to learn about, once you'd have done the theme I can't see you having any problems

CSS tricks (google) has some great video tutorials, inc IIRC one one wordpress, at least watch it and think about it:)
 
I would charge;

£200-300 design
£200 design to XHTML/CSS and slice images
£150 scripting
£500 CMS implimentation

So roughly £1000 - 1200

You can get good stock flash player for peanuts and use google analytics for web stars.

So I would need about £1000, that is quite a lot considering I have all the content, logo .PSD, and I know the page layout. However, I do not know the actual costs which is why I asked.

Thanks anyway, I guess I will have to save up.
 
The content is something you would be doing anyway, a designer/developer won't spend their time putting content in.

I've charged £350 in the past just for slicing a PSD to xHTML/CSS->WordPress so adding a custom design on top of that and wordpress widgets etc depending what you want then the prices mentioned above aren't outrageous. I know we charge a hell of a lot more where I work!

For a unique/custom page design and wordpress/other content management system integration then anything from £750-1200 is reasonable.
