Ok, so I know this is probably stupid and you guys are like, "WTF, why sell it?" Well basically I am not planning on selling it just wanting to know how much my system would reach if I sold it. Also I got given this setup by my Godfather, I paid nothing for it.. :)

Amp - NAD Series 20 - Don't know much more about it. Picture though.

Speakers - Wharfedale XP2's - Also, don't know too much about them. Picture.

Thanks guys.

Mate, I don't have a clue what it is worth lol. I am an absolute novice. All I know is that, it works, it is very powerful and it is old. So are we looking at over £50 here or is it junk?

Thanks guys. A while ago I played this on them:

Turned the bass right up and now whenever it gets too loud or there is too much bass etc, my right speaker makes an unbearable noise. Like a high pitch buzzing. Not like something is lose, just like something is broken. Is this the amp do you think or just the right speaker? If so What kind of replacement speakers should I be looking for?

Cheers.

Swap the speakers around before you buy anything new.

If the problem moves with the speaker, then it's the speaker at fault. If it stays on the same side, then the amp is at fault. Make sure all connections are correct, i.e. nothing's loose.

Remember that audio components, especially speakers, are easily damaged if you're careless with volume levels.

/edit

Although I've just listened to that bass test and can hear a weird buzzing with the bass, so maybe it's meant to be like that? Does it only do it when the amp is turned up quite high?

Nah it does it on like any song I play when the I put the volume or the bass up too far. Is also crackly when I play loud things usually.
