How much would it cost for a complete watercooling set?

I've never watercooled my PC's and no little about it aside from reading various build logs and such and i've always felt that the money could be better spent on superior components.

I'm starting to give it some thought though because I really want to try and create a rig thats as near to silent as possible even under 0 load. I'm not overly concerned about extreme overclocks, for me it would be all about noise.

So i'm just wondering what the minimum spend would be for watercooling my system (CPU + 1 GPU). I know OCUK do bundles and such but i dont know if these include everything that's needed like all fittings and what have you.

Is silent cooling even possible, I mean radiators still need fans on them right?

You're going to need at least a 3 fan rad for CPU + GPU cooling, under load they'll need to be running at an audible speed to cool efficiently I imagine unless you don't mind temps similar to air for zero noise.

H2O cooling isn't really silent. The pump is always running and making at least a little noise as is your PSU fan. Honestly a well set up air system will run very near silent. My sig rigs do. i7 [email protected] it's 60c @ 100% load and 1150rpm on fans .. which is just loud enough to hear and know it is working it's rear off. i7 980 hits 50c @ 100% load and 1000rpm .. have to listen really hard to know it's even running.

Way cheaper than putting things under water. :D

There are a few trick to getting a system very quiet. Good case airflow / cooling with all fan, including case fans, on automatic speed control which means fans idle when system is not working hard and only speed up as needed to keep system cool. Here's links to quick guides of how to set up cooling and fan control
