I'm on the fence about getting a 3D printer or just paying for things to get printed.

As an example I've got these 3 prints that I'm looking at

Please can someone tell me what the filament cost would be for these in PETG.

I'm looking at a Bambu A1, it's £259 atm.

The break even point looks to be pretty low, especially as I'm tempted by Gridfinity, Neogrid and Multiboard

For a rough idea, my slicer estimates about 50g of filament for this one. Price of filament varies a lot, but let's say on average around £15/kg, which makes it approx 75p in filament.

Pull the trigger imho, it's a fun hobby, rewarding and it can save you a ton of money if you have uses for it.

Thanks.

Wow only 75p, 3D People wanted £36

Of interest, I did a one-off job for someone recently and put a price of £30/kg on it. No other costs were calculated, just a flat rate.

Wasn't really worth it for me, having to do the pre & post print work to resolve some average orientation issues with the supplied models (might time is expensive), plus the electricity etc etc.
