How much would you pay for a Photographer like me ?

Hey guys I have been in to Photography now for about 2 years but I don't make any money or charge people as I have been building up a Portfolio.


I now want to step up to the next level and start charging clients and people for my services .

Have a look at my Portfolio and let me know what you would be willing to pay a Photographer like myself , Just want a general idea so I know what to start charging next year when I take it more serious.

All the Photo-shoots I have done so far are Friends and family members / Holidays.

Best bet is to take the pricing of some local companies or other photographers and work out a price from there. I guess if I were to take the risk of having an "inexperienced" photographer on my once a lifetime day, it would need to be *considerably* discounted, probably 75% or so...

would it not be an idea to work for another photographer for a while initially

like say if you were doing weddings its a bit of a risk if you've never done one before - would perhaps be better if you've been say the second photographer at a few other weddings beforehand

You can charge what you want to/need to but had a quick look at your page, so many duplicates of the same photos, just colour and black and white.

Just pick one.
