It calculates the value based on a sliding scale of depreciation % depending on the initial value afaik. Depends if your beast depreciates the same way as a vectra would. Though assume a 20% upper and lower limit in depreciation over the average and its not likely to be to different.

All you give it is the value of the car, now... I could have just bought a Merc SLK which will probably appreciate in value in the short term, or I might have just bought a brand new Peugeot 607 which is on a one way ticket to 500 quid down the local auctions..
