Hey guys.

I am looking to buy just the base unit and would like it to be able to play all the latest games on high detail settings, if not the highest, and handle games for a while yet. I'd also like the opportunity to upgrade my PC in the future for when games start to get a bit too advanced for my PC.

How much should I be looking at for a PC that will do the above?

I currently have about £500 saved up.

The GeForce 6800 GS will allow you to play the latest games at 1280 x 1024 with pretty much all the eye candy turned on with a little AA and AS, if you're wanting resolutions above that then you may need a little more grunt.

How about a nice little SFF system? that card would be greatf or 1024x768 and a bit higher. If you want a bit more power either get a 3700+ or a 6800GS instead. That system has space for another optical drive and another HD plus I have specced 2gb of RAM.
