Hey guys, Im looking to soon get a liquid cooling system.

I would be looking for something good and easy to maintain - as I have no clue how liquid cooling systems work, I have a intel i7 2.8 overclocked to 4ghz, and 2 GTX 480s SLI that I want to keep as cool as possible (the GPU's especially, as when the fans kick in it can be quite loud)

Could someone tell me what kind of cost I would be looking at and what kind of options are available?

thanks :)

You would be looking at a monster set up.
Which case to you have at the moment.
For the waterblock i would get a EK Supreme
For gtx 480 waterblock there is no answer yet which is the best block but keep a close eye on skinnee labs for the results.
For the radiator it depends on which case you have also i'm a nweb when it comes to water pumps.

Probably a dual loop would be your best bet. A decent 360 or 480 radiator would be enough for the 480s, and a 240 would be enough for the i7.

Rough estimate your looking at £ 400 min for a dual setup, done a quick one on Ocuk and so far I'm at £474 without fitting's just the water block's and 2 pumps.

I would recommend the dual loop also. Atm I have a 4870 x2 and an i7 920 d0 all in a single loop.

The 4870x2 on max load heats up the core a further 5-8 degrees so two 480's wouldnt be good for the cpu either.

I wouldn't worry about the gpu temps under water. My max load went from 106+ degrees on load on air to max 53 degrees watercooled so Id choose the waterblock that has the most aesthetic appeal tbh.

As for the pump I'd go for the D5 vario mainly because you can adjust the speed and noise straight away, but if you do daul loop you would probably need the DDC 3.2 due to its smaller more practical size.
