How NOT to interview!

We were interviewing a candidate this morning for a junior programmers position. Poor lad was so nervous. He was shaking like mad, so I told him to relax and tried to lighten the mood. On asking him about his qualifications, he stated he had a degree in Economics.

When he told me this I replied, "Oh, I have a CSE in Home Economics, is that the same thing"?

I thought the poor lad was going to cry.. Interview over
