Not sure why i keep doing this but i've noticed it a lot lately, i'll type a post out and submit it. But then reading it over, i've put letters in that shouldn't be there or words that don't fit the thread but my brain has read it before posting and accepted it.

For example today i put in a thread

SPRING 2011

But when i posted it, EvilSod said Don't you mean Spring 2011?. Sure enough i put SPRINT 2011

I do this all the time!! Even though I know their correct spellings, they don't look correct to me, and I spell deliberately as follows:

Margain
Visisted
Austrialian
Archieve
Centuary
Aweful
Vice versea
Ignor

Stuff like 'by' vs 'but' tend to be just typos.

It means you are either not drinking enough or tired.

But you may be dumb or dyslexic but if you are usually fine then its usually the two above.

Additionally, dyslexic people often substitute similar-looking, but unrelated, words in place of the ones intended (what/want, say/saw, help/held, run/fun, fell/fall, to/too, etc.)[

Interesting... I have noticed that words i post are sometimes not the words i wanted to use, but i hadn't noticed it till i came back to it later.

Hmm

i still have trouble remembering which words use i then e and which use e then i :(

no-one ever taught me about IE/EI in school, which is a bit strange come to think of it.

Yep, I do it too. I usually proof read a few times before posting even then I miss things. Usually mixing tenses up or just plonking random words in which don't belong. I did this very frequently when I was stressed/anxious a few weeks back.

British English dictionary addon for firefox will help you loads!

I don't get spellings wrong or use the wrong word but I do miss words out, usually the crucial word in the sentence, to use an internet meme...

"I just the whole bottle!"

The annoying thing is it's usually fine when I read it back to myself so (ironically) I ask my severely dyslexic missus to proof read emails before I send them to customers as I don't trust myself.

Funny thing is though, if I am reading them out loud I catch my mistakes everytime...deep vs shallow processing maybe?

you think thats bad, i recently typed out a letter for a job, at the bottom i was ment to type 'Regards' and i realised after i printed it out that i typed 'Retards'.

don't worry about it

I do the same as you quite often, infact sometimes I miss out whole words

some of my usual mistakes

interent - internet
lamo - lmao
teh - the

my brain spells them correctly but my hands decide to do their own thing
