And since I know what I'm doing, this is very rare indeed.
Burnsy
My OEM XP Home has seen 4 different motherboards, 5 different processors and moved from DDR to DDR2 and I have only had to phone Microsoft once to reactivate, all the other times reactivation was done over the net.didnt think it was possible to do that. im on my second rig and i purchased another oem copy of xp for this second build, perhaps im to honest![]()
someone will point out sooner or later regardless of whether it activated it's still a breach of the licence and therefore illegal.
Personally I don't give a monkeys but its a point worth making.
Yeah Course U Don't
Yeah hardly ever if you know what you're doing is the answer, never in snowdogs case is not a good idea, because he does have problems and his PC cannot possibly run the way you'd want to after 5 mobo changes no matter what he talks. Check his last few threads probably i know he pops up occasionally with a problem![]()
I must be a freak,
Im always mucking about re-installing and such on my gaming system.
My laptop, thats another story, Its re-built probably every 3 months lol.
I like messing about with new drives and graphics cards and such, hence the rebuilds on my gaming rig. Plus its not too much of a mission as i dont keep anything important on there and its rebuilt straight from my windows home server, so i just boot from the rebuild cd. It puts a clean copy of vista ultimate on, then i just stick on what drivers an such im messing about with from there.![]()
