As title suggests how often do you buy games,

i normaly dont buy games very often but i went on a bit of a spree this weekend ended up getting worms BC2 Mafia II and looking for more:eek:

so how often?
1. weekly
2. biweekly
3. monthly
4 2-5 months
5. every 6 months
6 once a year
7 other

mines probably option 4 normally

Too often, seem to be buying games weekly at the moment. Been a bit too trigger happy on Steam recently not to mention the small fortune on games for the kids on the consoles + apples app store. Normally though I would say, monthly.

for me it depends on whats on the steam sale :P

recently, its been 2 or 3 games a week.

i rarely buy new full priced games however, i just wait for them to be on sale, better to get 2/3 games on sale for the same price as getting a single game thats just come out :P

I didn't used to buy games all that often, but since about Christmas I've been steadily increasing my collection. As it's only been 8 months since Christmas, I'd say as an average the amount of games I've bought since then probably falls somewhere between "biweekly" and "once a month".

My real answer, though, should be "it varies". I might go one or two months without buying a game, but then maybe I'll buy a couple or few games in a single week.

For the PC I'll pick games up whenever something i fancy comes up in a steam sale, the only full price game i've bought recently was Mass Effect 2.

For the PS3 I'll get a game or two once every 3 months or so, PS3 is mainly used for streaming stuff from the PC and PSN/PS3 exclusives, so they don't come out too often.

Wii and Xbox 360 I don't really buy games for anymore, havn't played on the wii for ages, and the 360 only really gets used for Sky player to watch the football or UFC.

got a pc/wii/ps3 and i buy too many games each month I try not to buy but end up buying 1-3 each month and end up playing couple of hours on each. Oh to be <20 again and no job, mortgage or kids?

I go long periods without buying anything then I have a good bonus month and go insane and buy more than is sensible. I very rarely ever pay full price for a game as there is no need as dicounts occur within a matter of days/weeks from original retail price release.

Yep, as said above, whenever there's a steam sale on I'll be looking out for a deal :p

My game count has shot up over the past year thanks to these super sales. So good for everyone as the only cost to distribute is valve's bandwidth and we get games for next to nothing.
