Depends, sometimes I might only wear a pair of socks to pop out for a couple of hours, when at home I am much more comfortable barefoot. In which case, I pop the removed sock into the shoe worn with each sock to use next time.

I think the British can take the high road on hygiene when we start using a bidet as well as bog roll, rather than smearing poo onto paper and getting on with our day
