How old are your monitors?

Had a samsung syncmaster 225bw for a good 3 years now which im hoping will keep going strong until i change to a nice 30" LED when the prices are more reasonable.

My office PC has 2 x LG1710B monitors (as well as a 2yr old 24" Hyundai)

One I purchased in 2003 for £360 from OcUK, the other was £120 from the bay in 2006

My benq FP241W 24" is just over 2.5 years old, fantastic piece of kit, paid £430.00 for it back then.

Am I right in saying your higher spec monitor will lower in resolution slightly??

It shouldnt do.
Ive only ever run nVidia dual screens but would be surprised if ATi were different. Should be able to run both screens at native resolutions.

Two 15" Phillips LCds, bought 1999-ish - occasional use
A 16" (1280x1024) Sharp LCD bought 2000, still in daily use alongside a 20" Samsung LCD about 3 years old

Main monitor is a 5 year old 20" Dell 2005FPW and the second is an ancient 15 AOC LCD that is around 10 years old which i rescued from a scrap pile at BT last year.

I've got a 17" Philips TFT from when I started uni in 2004, my CRT wasn't gonna fit in my dorm room.
Now I only use it for MSN, so I can see stuff while i'm in-game.

And I've got a 24" TFT which I got shortly after I graduated in 2007.
Paid 450 quid for this baby, it's a Dell UltraSharp.

At some point I'd like to get another 24", but I can't really justify it, I don't need it.

18" Dell which my parents use is around 6 years old and I use the Dell 2405 which I think is around 3 - 4 years old.
