In reality, I think probably around 23-ish is the upper limit by which you should be mature enough to longer be wanting to sit there and "bing bing" around with Sonic Mario or whatever other childish games there are these days.
Once the student days are over and you're into the real world of employment, one would hope you'd be grown up enough, and have enough responsibilities, to make video games the obvious child's play they are.
Honestly, sitting there with your controller getting jolly like a 5 year old because you made some pixel dude jump? There are much better, grown up things to do with your time -- like DIY, cleaning the car, reading a book or watching X-Factor. Get with the program.
Unless you are being sarcastic.
Seriously, you class gaming as childish but watching ****-factor is not?
Gaming is a hobby, or in a few cases a profession, in the same way sticking airfix models together, playing football, doing a tapestry, playing cards or watching tv is. Sure some hobbies are more beneficial to health and wellbeing than others, but if you enjoy it and it is a relaxation from the trials and stresses of real life do as you see fit no matter what the age.
