Hi all

Was gonna get an E6600 but money problems (bloody money) have restricted me to getting a E6300 next week.

Seems im gonna have to wait for the price of the 6600 to drop before making a purchase.

Anywho!

Anyone know how overclockable the 6300 is?

My 6300, is currently held back by my ram at 2.6Ghz. Once some decent ram arrives, hopefully today, I'll be able to let it clock much higher.

They are definately THE bargain CPU atm.

I wonder how many people who shelled out for an X6800 are feeling a bit miffed that lowest end cpu's mostly seem to be reaching the x6800 speeds and quite a few are exceeding it.

What ram have you got, i have the G.Skill LA pc 5300 and its pointless if its going to hold the cpu back a lot.

Even on Air, using the Zalman 9500, the one with the bonnie blue light on, I still managed 3.2 (460fsb). I'm using a custom watercooling setup now, and temp's are alittle lower on full load. (Below 50)

I'm more than happy with mine. At stock volts they boot on the ds3 (1.9), and I'm sure you will get upto 2.8 gig without any more volts. I've got mine +.3 for 460 fsb. Make sure it's the value geil. 5300, the ones with the silver heat spreaders.

GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC5300 667MHz Value DDR2 Dual Channel Kit (GX22GB5300DC) (MY-034-GL)
