Hey all.

Friend of mine has a computer with a 2.8GHz Celeron in it, cooled by an Intel stock cooler.

He's in the process of buying new parts, however we were wondering if the cooler would be good enough to cool a Core 2 Duo E6600 if we just moved it over (replacing thermal paste ofc).

Ta.

Yeah we plan to, but we wanted to know if it would do the job in the meantime - he really needs to get the PC working.

I gots a stock Intel Heatsink on my G/F's PC which is a E6600 & it's @ 2.8ghz with ~65C load temps. Normally lower though ;)

It should be fine but just don't expect it to clock great.

Remember guys, the cpu cooler for a celeron may not be as efficient as the one we get with the new duo's or quads, so it might not actually be up to scratch.
