how quick is your mobile me email push?

Just purchased a 3G iphone, sexy white one, today and have set up a mobileMe account. I am quite disappointed with the email push, have just sent myself an email 5 minutes ago and still no sign of it on my iphone yet.

How quick is your push?
 
Yep, my trial last until December. Does it make any difference?
Am looking for instant push like what you are getting Justin, I'll be happy to pay for full account if that will make it happen.
 
Mine is also nearly instant it is quick really is... I am in trail at the moment as got 52 days remaining and they extended it when there were problems a while back... But I got my code waiting as i have purchased it but not going to input the code till my trail nearly end ;)
 
Its still a bit hit and miss for me. When it works then it works, its instant and does exactly what it says on the tin. Id say a good 20% of the time it doesn't work though and it will either push through about 8 hours later or will only show up on a manual retrieve. Everything else about mobileme works perfect though.
 
I think I know why it wasn't working properly now. I also have a 2G iphone which had my mobileme account set up in too, have just deleted that account and only have it on my new 3G iphone, works much better now.

Can you get new email alert to vibrate + sound alert and show preview too?

strange, my iphone does not vibrate on silent mode or non silent mode for any sort of alert :S

There is an option in Settings > Sound I think to turn it off.

There may be an issue with your account/phone try rebooting the phone by holding the sleep-wake button down until it asks you to power off, then when off hold it again for the apple logo and it will come back up.

Very nearly instant. Couple of seconds delay.

In the end my iphone had a fault, it would not vibrate at all. Have got it exchanged and it works perfectly now.


Re the push, because I had the email account set up on my old 2G iphone too which was not set to push (was using it on Orange), the account on my 3G one was not working. Now I have deleted the account from my 2G iphone and have set it up on my 3G one it works very well.
