Not as quiet, my A70B is quite loud compared to my old p180.
I hear the V1100 is about the same.
While the Cosmos is designed with 100% for quiteness.
Personally i'd go for the V1100. In my view its a lot nicer of a case. But i personally hate the Cosmos. Also Lian Li quality is awsome! I love my one.
Depends entirely on the parts you use, the Cosmos might do a better job of blocking noise from a Raptor or similar... but then you're not likely to have one in a quiet PC.
I use 1000rpm fans in my v1200+ and it's very quiet.
I have the "Silent V2100B plus" and with the same components as in my old case, NZXT LEXA, I would say it is no more quiet than before. Maybe all my 120mm fans are 2000rpm at full wack!
Well looking at your old case...I'm not surprised.
LianLi have amazing build quality and their silencing is very good. My PC7 which has none is very quiet compared to an old steel case I had, and my A20B is very quiet due to having LL soundproofing.
I was just gonna add to the thread ive had the Lian Li A70B, now this is perhaps the best case ive owned todate, as a previous replier said its whats inside that counts so yes you can add less fans or silent 120mm fans but I still felt the lian li didnt really focus on noise or silence, sure it had hdd grommets and few features like that but not on the same level as the coolermaster cosmos which is really designed for sound proofing and silence factor. It was for this reason I was just gonna order the Cosmos and get the best silence factor ever.
