How robust is the Wii?

Evening chaps,

To cut a long story short I have three little cousins who have been through a tough time recently and I would like to buy them a Wii as like most children, this is the current must have 'toy'.

One thing that worries me, their ages range from four to eight so to be realistic, the poor Wii will probably take a fair bit of stress. How well built is it? Im a bit worried about spending £200+ on something that will go wrong if it gets touched whilst its turned on etc. Perhaps my 360 graveyard has made me a bit paranoid!

Thanks.

My 10 year old son and all his mates have played with their's a lot since launch without any issues whatsoever for any of them - and they're not as anal as I am about looking after stuff properly.

My five year old swaps the disks and stuff but in all honesty the Wii just sits under the TV. I would recomend getting silicone covers for the remotes but ours have been dropped a few times and still work OK.
