How sad are you?

At the moment these forums are filled with PS3 bashers, Wii Bashers, Xbox 360 bashers, everyone having a go, feeling superior, having a laugh at manufacturers expense.

Ive been trying to fathom out why this is, are people really that sad that they need to mock people who own one particular console or another? Is it jealousy?

This has been going on since the days of the spectrum and commodore 64, it was as pointless an argument then as it is now.

From now on, every console basher should get a few of these :rolleyes:

why make a thread about "trolling" if your sick of it? just push the pain deep inside.

You have to differentiate between legitimate complaints about a console or a company, and complaints purely borne out of an irrational hatred of them. One may be called fanboyism; the former is not

Its the same with everything in life- cars, mobile phones, graphics cards. You name it and there will be those out there to bash it or defend it.

The sooner that people realise that the best possible result of the "console war" is that ALL formats are successful the better.

Me? Well I'm just enjoying the games because tbh gamers have never had it so good :cool:

People bash other consoles either because there is actually a valid reason to (ps3 price if you're not fussed about blu ray) or because they want to feel better about their own decision to buy the console they have.

I own all three next gen consoles and I think I have a right to bash all but the 360 simply because, I dont care about the specs or the innovation or HD movie disks, I bought them for games. I 'bash' my wii and ps3 because the games out now suck, I honestly believe that an Xbox 360 with Live and its large catalogue of games is the best gaming experience around just now. The high attatch rate of games is also testament to this and as mentioned previously it looks to get even better for us GAMERS. Thats for all systems eventually, but I still think the 360 has the better titles from now till the summer.

Problem can be fixed if we get an active mod in here. Please use your voice in here http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17716134 and hopefully we can get a fully active donny assigned to PC & Console Gaming to keep this place in order. It's becoming a right spam/troll/flame fest in here and i'm fedup of it :mad:

I cleary remember the Atari and the Coleco Vision...

Where their is a choice in anything your going to have divisions.
I know ive stayed out of a few of the latest Vs threads as agree lately its been the same old stuff...

Personally I feel the forum has calmed down a lot of late and people are generally getting along fine. People have expressed their opinions and there's a lot of positive and constructive comments being made. The odd comparison thread is good for the forums imo; it keeps it lively as long as they're cordial, which they are for the most part.

The only problem I have at the moment are the vocal moral minority constantly bringing up and bashing people for having opinions. Threads like remind me of US foreign policy. Rather than positive change from the inside, ignoring threads you don't like so they go away, you start dropping moral bombs declaring how everyone else should think and behave. People have a right to express their opinions whether negative or positive in a cordial fashion and people also have the right to ignore or respond to their positions.

never really been a fanboy myself but i know what i DON'T like when it comes to games.

it has always been about the games for me, it's that escape from reality.

i don't care about such things as jaggy edges or 30fps etc, as long as the game interests me i will play it and most of the time i will enjoy it.

i own many many consoles and i love them all.

i own a 360 but i also own a megadrive and i wouldn't say one is better than the other. sure the 360 has great gfx and sound but the megadrive has some awesome games and thats what draws me back to it.

we really have never had it this good before, i can't see the point in bashing one console or another. they all rule !!!

In my view everyone has an opinion and can express it if he/she wants to. It may get some very negative feedback but that is his/her decision.

Everyone has different tastes in the console world.
