Hi all,

I was looking at using acrylic tubing with EK fittings. but now Ocuk are selling the primochill fittings at a temping bulk discounts.
But the Primochill have a 2 part fitting to lock the tube in, where as EK seems to just push in.

So I was wondering how secure the EK fittings are?
when the loop gets warm is there danger of the tube sagging & slipping out?

If not I think I'd stick with EK, despite the look of primochill.

I was equally worried but once you have pushed the tubing in you realise there is a fair bit of force involved in this. Never had one come off or leak on me that's all I can say

I've certainly got no problem with the EK-CSQ acrylic fittings. Each fitting has a two o-rings to seal the tube with the fitting, which seemed to be a big benefit over some of the fittings I looked at when speccing up the components for my water cooling loop

They are so snug, it feels just as secure as many compression's (more even!). Primochills are not true compression fittings, as they just compress the O-ring like all other acrylic fittings (no way to do it otherwise). I preferred EK as they were more discrete and i got a bit of scratching sometimes on my acrylic when adding the compression part.

O-rings are not normal O-rings too, they are custom for the fittings and are fatter than normal ones. It takes a fair bit of effort to separate the tubing. More so than pulling tubing off a barb or many of the compression's i have tried.
