Never gone down the mail order route before when wanting new rubber but after doing a bit of research it seems like there is quite a saving to be made...

Problem is some of the local garages are quoting £15 a corner to fit the things..is that about right?

What are you chaps paying just for the fitting process?

For 225/40/R18 wheels if it makes a difference...

edit: title is supposed to say 'How much should' :(

10~15 quid sounds about right, I doubt size makes a difference to be honest. A lot of places wont do it at all.

Have a look at blackcircles - you pay the online price and take your car to one of their partner garages for fitting

£10 - £20 each is about right for most places.

Sort of extortionate when you consider the amount of work involved.

I think £10 is the absolute max I would pay for fitting tyres.

Usually you can shop around for a better deal than online.

I pay 8quid per rim for mine for balancing/valves weights etc try to find someone who knows a tyre fitter think you could find someone! I ordered tyres once from a national chain and the guy who fitted them now just does the fitting on my internet tyres.
