Hi

Ive got some old stuff lying around I want to get rid of. One thing is an old PC that a housemate no longer uses. I dunno what it is cos ove never booted it, but I know its got 384MB of SDRAM, and a 20GB IDE HDD. Its old, smelly, and just taking up room in my room. Ive stolen the HDD, CD drive and Floppy in case I need a spare for any unforseen reason, but want to chuck the rest. Are there any procedures for trowing out old PCs, or can I just dump it in the dustbin?

Cheers

The local recycling village / tip should have facilities to dispose of electrical items. I know they do in South Shields.

its just an old case and mobo and cpu and ram that smell of stale smoke... seriously, nobody would want this... Ill look into the tip

All local tips will have an electronics recycling section. I have taken many old cases with assorted junk hardware in them to it.
