I bought a OcUK Geforce 7800GTX a few months ago which was branded 'Point-of-view', which is a single-slot card based on Nvidia's reference design, using standard clocks and has the PCI signiture 'rev a1'.
Now I have upgraded to an SLI board, I'd like to buy another 7800GTX, but the exact card I have is no longer on the list sold by OcUK - theres a "OcUK GeForce 7800GTX SILENT Extreme 256MB" which is a 2-slot card instead.
So my question is, if I get this card, or say, a 1-slot Leadtek 7800GTX, will it cooperate with my existing 7800GTX? Would I have to tweak the clocks to make them the same, or flash the bios to the same version or whatever?
As far as i'm aware, as long as they're both 7800GTX's, they should work in SLI fine, whatever the clock timings and revision.
Thanks, Mat.
