How Stable is Stable

now i know this a debate that rubs some people the wrong way but HOW STABLE IS STABLE. because in my eyes a pc that dies after 12 hours of Dual Prime is still pretty stable. because if you 'burn' a cpu for long enough it will error at some point be it 12 hours or 12 months.

what lengh dual prime do you think is sufficiantly(?) stable?

as above i think 12hours is sufficiant as far as a gamers concerned. as no games will ever push it to the point that a dual-prime would.

i do agree that if running F@H or SETI then yes it should be uBer stable. but i dont use these so in my eyes if it games its stable, doe any other gamers agree?

for some of us (me) we cant run a 24hr dual prime test, as i work a lot and i dont leave my pc on unsupervised, as the wiring is **** in this place. my computer is @ 2.65Ghz 9 hour dual prime stable. now in my eyes thats stable enough. if it crashes on me (which it hasnt yet) then i will maybe lower the clock.

it runs any game i throw at it without crashing, so in my eyes as a gamer it is stable.

and very relevant for me, as my pc's in an attic, its freezing in winter but is apsolutely roasting in summer due to no doors windows or aircon (just ladder access)
