I havent been on here for the last few days so i may of missed this if its been posted already. I found this on another forum:
How the hell?
How the hell?
Her car left the road at the Beehive roundabout, crossed two lanes of traffic and a cycle lane, mounted the kerb and smashed into a tree.

I don't know if its whether they don't believe her or know that she wasn't telling the truth bit this:Paulj said:What?
Fair enough shes old and old drivers do suck but the article clearly says "The woman told police that her brakes had failed just before she lost control".
Unless she was telling porkies![]()
is a quote from the watch commander. Lost control and had her brakes fail are different things. Sounds to me like she was simply unable to control the vehicle."The lady was travelling from Middlebrook and turned left on to Chorley New Road and lost control.
"If she had not hit the tree, she would have ended up in the front garden of a sheltered homes complex."
laissez-faire said:Judging by the title you are confused how it became wedged. It would have hit the tree, the back end would have lifted and unless she hit the tree dead centre the car would have rotated about whichever side had more momentum, then the car would have fallen back down, clearly this time the back caught the other tree.
