Ok, so I am on Virgin media's 30 meg service with the "super hub" thingy.

Wireless aint great (Understatement) so I have these little puppies dotted around the house:

These give me a wired connection throughout the house at full speeds using the power lines, and they work pretty well all truth told (I have total of 4)

Now, how to address the crappy wifi ?

Well, the house was build in the 80's so not thick brick at all but we struggle with mobile phones and WIFI connection in the front room / lounge just the spot where the kids want to stream stuff on their HUDL's.

Wifi is awful.:(

So, I looked around and the same guys who do a smart job on the home plugs also do this unit:

It looks like the power line home plugs I already have but with a Wifi antenna for one of the connections....but the Addon folk don't make it easy to understand how (if at all) it will connect with my existing Home plug units:confused:

Anyone got experience of these units, or even a solution to improving my wifi ?
Any Help appreciated guys !;)

The wifi on the super hub 1 is rubbish.

Personally I'd buy a decent wireless router and put the superhub into modem only mode. Something like a Asus RT-N56U, Asus RT-N66U, Netgear WNDR4000 depending on budget. It wouldn't cost more than buying that wifi antenna, and you'll have a much better router.

Yes, agreed, the Superhub 1 is notorious for it's poor WiFi. You're much better off getting a decent router like one of the Asus models and just using the SH as a modem only.

thanks guys for the advice...I am a bit of a network noob to be honest.....is it a difficult switch to set up ?
