How the microstutter on the 4870X2

"How is the microstutter on the 4870X2"

I know and can see how the 9800GX2 suffers with this especially in Crysis, and 40fps can feel like 15fps at times.

Has anyone done some tests with the 4870X2 and how it stands up at higher res regarding this issue???

I think it's there in crysis, but strangley seems better in dx10 than dx9

Thanks, alas this must be an inherent reality with this current gen of cards and Crysis etc.

I never could put my finger on what was actually wrong until a few months ago. My 9800GX2 just stutters like a dog sometimes and while running at "40" fps.

I will take this into concideration the next time i ever go dual gpu. Yet another reason why Single is better than SLI.

From the graph i can see the X2 has less devation than the GX2 but it is still there. The 3870X2 looks disasterious :/

How much of a problem is this on a 4850 crossfire setup? Anyone know?

TBH, they will probibly all fall folly to this.

Not a 4870x2 but I have 4870's in crossfire - no microstutter here.

I'd be suprised if the 4870x2 suffers from microstutter if 4870's in xrossfire don't.
